The Knitting and Painting Community art installation is a vibrant public art initiative designed to enhance North Miami Beach's public spaces and foster a sense of connection among residents. Led by artist and anthropologist Alicia María Vallejo (our Art Director), the project brings together community members to create colorful, crocheted Granny Squares that adorn palm trees and public areas along 164th Street. Cloud Creative Experiences handled the installation and graphic design, transforming these public spaces into a stunning visual representation of community collaboration and creativity.
Below, you’ll find behind-the-scenes photos showcasing the installation process, followed by event photos capturing the final display and the community’s engagement.
